“The Ryerson Student Learning Centre (SLC) opened in February 2015. Designed by Snøhetta, the building provides over 150,000 square feet of space dedicated to students – for learning, innovation, and play.

As a key stakeholder in the SLC, the Ryerson Library was able to lend the use of our graphic designer, Hanny Sierra, to create digital signage for the LCD screens mounted over the elevators and for the touch-screen wayfinding kiosks. The goal of the design was to match the vibrant and welcoming feel of the building while also accomplishing necessary information-dissemination requirements. The clean and colourful designs provided by Hanny have become part of the building’s character and have been replicated throughout both the SLC and the Library.”
